Some time ago someone asked us, “Why doesn’t anyone make woodworking machinery for people in wheelchairs or for individuals with limited mobility?”
We answered with a question of our own, “Hmm, why don’t we?”
Introducing Access by General - making the workshop accessible to everyone.
Made primarily in our Drummondville, Quebec, Canada plant we offer you the high end “Access by General” line which will include a selection of the most commonly used machines found in a typical woodworking shop such as: Table Saw, Jointer, Bandsaw and Drill Press and Lathe, for starters, with more to come in both Canadian made and overseas produced models as demand increases.
Access by General is designed and adapted for the wheelchair user, the seated operator or for individuals of smaller stature where traditional sized machinery can be cumbersome, awkward or downright dangerous. Over the years we have marvelled at the determination and inventiveness of many strong willed individuals who face these challenges every day and manage to adapt to and overcome the obstacles they face when working with traditional sized machinery. Their passion for woodworking is their motivation and this is a passion that we fully understand.
For those who share this passion with us but have been held back by either the daily challenges you face or the obstacles presented by traditional machinery, we offer you:
